DIGITAL IMAGE PROCESSING AND PATTEN RECOLONIZATION:

Abstract:
Digital image processing is the use of computer algorithms to perform image
processing on digital images.Digital image processing has the same advantages over
analog imageprocessing as digital signal processing has over analog signal processing
it allows amuch wider range of algorithms to be applied to the input data, and can avoid
problems such as the build-up of noise and signal distortion during processing. The most
common kind of digital image processing is digital image editing.Pattern recognitionaims
to classify data (patterns) based on either a priori knowledgeor on statistical information
extracted from the patterns. The patterns to be classified areusually groups of measurements
or observations, defining points in an appropriate multidimensional space. This is in contrast
to pattern matching, where the pattern is rigidly specified.
